The Greeting Farm Challenge!

Hello everyone!

Today's project was inspired by The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Challenge.
This week their inspirational photo inspired me to create this card...

I created the background using a direct stamp pad to paper technique with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads in Pumice Stone, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers and Old Paper.
Once that completely dried, I used my Simon Says Stamp stencil and applied embossing paste to the center right portion of the card.  After everything fully dried, I added washi, wood veneers circles and moon shine sequins for finish off all the extra embellishments.  Simply Anya is copic colored and applied with foam adhesive over a layer of jumbled iridescent thread!

Thanks so much for stopping by and to see the photo that inspired me to create this project along with the entire The Greeting Farm blog, please click HERE.

DT Project for Wicked Designs by Brenda!

Hello everyone!
I have another project to share with you today!
The other day I was so inspired by one of Brenda's digi images that I just had to create these two projects!
This digi is called "Eighties Love" and can be found HERE.

I have been inspired lately by project life cards and decided I wanted to create the card to reflect the 3x4 shape. I used my WeR punch are centered the image how I wanted her to look and colored her up using my copic markers.  This was also inspired by layers in random sizes and patterns....lots of layers! lol
However when I was coloring the boquet of flowers on the larger card...it inspired the smaller card!
So I printed here again, this time larger so I could cut out just the bouquet! I colored the lily and rose twice and popped those on foam dots so it added more dimension!
I think these both are just soooo fun! Great for our younger generation!

Farm Fresh Friday: 2/14/14

Happy Tuesday all!!  Today I'm sharing a project that I created for the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over on The Greeting Farm blog! This weeks theme is "Sweet Treats" and I couldn't resist "Latte Anya!"  I just absolutely LOVE this Anya...she's probably my favorite!  I created a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base and pulled out some papers and embellishments I haven't used in a while!

All of the paper and embellishments came from My Minds Eye Bluebell collection. I used my distress markers to color her and then added some foam adhesive so she would stand out over the other embellishments.  I created a coffee sleeve out of craft card stock and added a pack of hot cocoa inside! Finally added all my sequins, stick pin and other small embellies and voila! Super easy and what a great little gift to send to a friend to warm any of these darn cold days we all have been having!

Thanks for stopping by and have a warm, snow free week!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: Challenge Week Feb 1st-8th

This week over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog
is the Anything Goes Challenge!!

....and because the Gelatto's from yesterdays project had me so inspired to use color, I have created this project using Paper Smooches stamp set "Spring Fling" and the little water droplet...isn't it cute?! That came from the Paper Smooches  "Sugar Rush" stamp set! Any of these stamp sets can be purchased HERE.

I just LOVE the whole story behind this card!
The flower is saying "live in color" to the bee and the lady bug, who are in black and white :)
Bee yourself...let your true colors shine...whether you're a bee, lady bug or a beautiful flower.
Don't be afraid of living in fear of what others think...'bee' you!

Gelatto Fun!!

So, I recently purchased my first set of Faber Castell Gelattos and might I say....these are amazing!!!  I'm having sooooo much fun creating with them!  I wish I would have discovered these little gems earlier! Here's the first project that I created with them....

I just LOVE anything art :)  And the sentiment on the inside reads "live in color."
This will be PERFECT for one of my artsy friends!!!

SSS Card Kit Card Inspired by KWerner

Hello Saturday!
Today I have been creating and creating!  I've missed my crafting this week and it definatley shows!
I have created several projects last night and this morning and one of those is this card:

This card was on an inspiration sheet included in the Simon Says Stamp card kit and originally created by Kristin Werner.  A link to her original project is HERE.
I put a different spin on this compaired to hers...I based mine on  a lot of florals...the background paper and the clear embossing on the craft card stock. I also added enamel dots because lately I just have been on all my projects! Can't get enough of them!

Thanks for Stopping by!

Wicked Designs DT: Project 1

Hello Everyone!!
Today I am doing my first project for Brenda who is the creator of Wicked Designs!
I will be designing for her for the month of February and I'm very excited!
Brenda creates boy and girl digi images and has them in a variety of season, occasions, hobbies, holidays and much more!  I like her images because they are different and have a fantasy feel to them.
For my first project, I used digi image "Debut Taunt" which is a new release that can be found under the "Special Occasions" category on her blog HERE.

I love digi's because of their versatility and ability to resize!  I made her larger than the average image so she became the main focal point and the attention is mainly on her hair and dress.  I used my wink of stella clear glitter pen on the darkest parts of her dress, added enamel dots, moonshine sequins and the sentiment is from the AmyR Simply Enchanting Stamp set.  All papers came from the Kathy Davis Fantasy Garden 6x6 paper pad. What a gorgeous card for a princesses birthday!...too bad I have all boys!!  lol

Be sure to stop by Brenda's shop on her blog for tons of images that are priced mostly at $3.00!

Have a fab evening and stay warm!

FFF at The Greeting Farm!

Hello everyone!!  Today I have a project for you that was completely inspired by The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday challenge!  This weeks challenge is to layer it up! Layer everything or just your focal image...make it crazy or do what ever inspires you! So today, I was inspired by Latte Anya and Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm 12x12 paper stack! I love the colors of Luck Charm and thought this would be a great opportunity to use my Distress Markers from Tim Holtz...which I'm still trying to get used too! lol
The markers keep the colors much softer and not over powering like copics tend too and I'm so glad I did!  Finished it off with a sparkly button, enamel dots, a wooden heart, stardust stickles and glossy accents and it turned out to be the perfect valentine! The sentiment "I love u a latte" came from the CC Designs Winter Chuckles sentiment set.

Thanks for stopping by and if you'd like to participate in this weeks challenge, please click HERE.

Have a crafty weekend!
