Last Day of School Layout | Freckled Fawn

Hello Lovelies!
Nicole here and today I have a super fun layout using the June 2017 Freckled Fawn embellishment kit!
This month, they have these super cute large acetate numbers with the cutest colors and patterns! When I received my kit, they caught my eye right off the bat and the perfect project came to mind...I wanted to celebrate my two crazy kiddos on their last day of school.  Here's a close up of the final layout...

I started by arranging the acetate numbers towards the bottom of my layout. I knew they would be a larger focal point. After I had those down, I had an idea of where I wanted the photo to go and began layering pieces of the washi tape strips that came in the kit. They coordinate perfect with the various colors and patterns...and I finally got to use my favorite strip! It's the one that helped inspire this layout with the circles and alphabet letters on it. Once the washi strips were down, I applied a light layer of gesso so I could add some shimmer mists for splashes of color.

Once those layers were all dry, I added in the chip board phrases, enamel hearts and some puffy stickers and faces from past Freckled Fawn kits.  I also finished my title by using last months awesome yellow alpha's and added "Last day of school."  Finally, I adhered my photo on foam adhesive for dimension and added in that really cute square clip.  Here are some more close ups of the finished project:

Picture Perfect | Freckled Fawn

Hello Lovelies!
Nicole here and today I'm super excited to share with you my first layout with June's Embellishment Kit!
Ya'll....if you haven't seen this kit yet, it's AMAZING! This has to be one of my all time favorite kits! From resin phrases, chipboard phrases, the cutest shapes, enamel hearts and so much more, I can't even begin to explain how awesome this kit is!

For my first layout, I dug thru some photos from our beach vacation last year and scrapped this super cute 12x12 layout! My son was so determined to climb to the top! LOL!

I started by adding some water splotches to my gessoed background. While that was drying, I began working on the giant palm tree! I cut this tree from my Silhouette Portrait and before removing it from my cutting mat, I added all of the color to it. Using paints from my stash, I wet the tree and just randomly placed different colors of greens all over the tree letting it dry in between layers.  Once that was completely dry, I removed it from the cutting mat and started on my layout! I began by adding several of the adorable washi strip stickers in this months kit! Once the washi strips were down, the photos were placed and the giant tree was added in! Lastly, I added my title with the "picture perfect" resin, a few chipboard phrase stickers, the cutest heart in a speech bubble resin and the adorable wonky heart enamel shapes

Best Vacation Layout | Shimmerz Paints

Hello Shimmerz Fans!
I have been anxiously awaiting to share this fun layout with you all!
Today I broke out my Silhouette that I haven't used in a while and wait until you see the flamingo with these beautiful shimmery colors!!!

To start my page, I prepped the background with white gesso. Once that dried, I took my new favorite Shimmerz product, Vibez in Jeni B Bleu, and used the packaging technique to create the water look at the base of my photos. I also flicked some of the color on too with my brush. While that was drying, I cut this cute flamingo out of white card stock and colored it using Creameez Berry Hot, Inklingz Beet Me, cheeky Pink and Coloringz in Peachy Keen. I made sure that I let that dry completely before I added it to my layout. With his little legs being thinner, I didn't want to take a chance damaging him! I did pop him up on some foam adhesive to add dimension. I added in some ephemera from the Oasis collection and enamel hearts from my stash. Here are some close ups of the final layout:

And for the shimmery stars of the show...
