CC Designs DT Call! Project #1

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Today I wanted to start my week off with a special project that I created especially for the CC Designs Design Team Call that they are having RIGHT NOW over on their blog! To view all the requirements and to submit your project, please visit the post HERE!

I hope that I am able to submit a few more projects for this call, but I wanted to start out with this piece! This has to be one of my favorites so far that I have created for my Halloween Card Series over on my YouTube channel! (Be sure to stay to the end and I'll have a link to the process video!)

This project features the adorable "Hazel & Webster" stamp from CC Designs! Is this not the most adorable spider you have ever seen?!

Copic Class Project: Online Card Classes

It's so hard to believe that class is already over :(

I can't begin to explain how much fun this 2 and 1/2 week class been! Even though I'm not brand new to copics, I learned something new ever single day! What an asset this class has been for me!

I wanted to briefly share one of the projects that I worked on near the end of this class.  This project was focusing on animals, 3 color blending and working with colors not in the natural blending groups.

All of the images on this project are from Lawn Fawn.  The fox was a digi that was supplied to us in class and the cardinal, log, squirrell and acorns are from one of their new christmas release sets.

Take 10 October Kit & A Process Video!

Hello everyone!

Today is an exciting day because I get to share with you the full reveal of the October 2014 Take 10 Kit by The Studio 29 Designs, LLC!  Here's the kit!.....

This months kit is packed with all kinds of beautiful fall cards, embellishments and an amazing stamp! The best part is, if you are a planner person, be sure to check their stamp and add on stamp set and printables out! They work PERFECT for planner pages!  I showed a sneak peak the beginning of the week that included their add on print and cut files, clip and stamp and created a planner page...take a look just in case you missed it!....

And now for my first layout with the kit!

 ( I used the stamp included in this kit to stamp directly onto one of the wood veneer leaves available in the add on! )

Witchful Thinking

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Today I have a project featuring my new stamp set, "Witchful Thinking." When I created her, I had this project in mind from the very beginning !I used all Distress Markers and Distress Inks to color and "paint" this piece.

Take10 Layout Time! Featuring my Hubby....

Hi'ya y'all! lol!!

It's been a creative kind of day! Today, I complete my last layout for September's Take 10 Kit! Not because I want to, but because I have officially "killed" the kit!  The photo's below are of the final layout that I created with this months kit...I did have to use 2 other cards from my stash...

Online Card Class: Day 1 and 2

Hi Guys!!

So I decided after much debate to take the Copic markers for Card Makers class by Onlinecardclasses.com.....and man am I glad I did!  The first two days have been so much fun and I've learned something new both days....even though I'm not a total beginner at copics! lol

Day 1 was basic blending skills with 2 and 3 colors of markers.

It was nice to see 3 different people color the same images in a totally different way. I definately picked up techniques from them all!

Here was our practice sheet for homework...

Today was day 2 and it got a little more intense!  Todays lesson was on different types of blending techniques. Below, I used the tip to tip and flicking techniques to blend colors that were not meant to be blended.

I also took the plunge and colored the birds as well...these are images that I normally don't color just because it's not my style....but it was so fun to step out of the box!!!  I'm glad I tried it! I'll be revisiting it soon!

1st Birthday Layout: Using Take10 Kits!

Happy Sunday!

It's a beautiful early morning and I'm here to share with you a layout using cards from the Take10 September kit!  This is an 11x12 layout of my second son's first birthday!  The only card that didn't come from their kit was the "You Color my world" card, however I used the stencil from their August kit to create it! Here are some close ups!!!!...

I have a very quick process video of this layout....its only a little over 4 min long, since I didn't realize that my camera cut off at the very end! But, here it is!  ENJOY!
