Hello Lovelies!
Nicole here and today I have a super fun layout using the June 2017 Freckled Fawn embellishment kit!
This month, they have these super cute large acetate numbers with the cutest colors and patterns! When I received my kit, they caught my eye right off the bat and the perfect project came to mind...I wanted to celebrate my two crazy kiddos on their last day of school. Here's a close up of the final layout...
I started by arranging the acetate numbers towards the bottom of my layout. I knew they would be a larger focal point. After I had those down, I had an idea of where I wanted the photo to go and began layering pieces of the washi tape strips that came in the kit. They coordinate perfect with the various colors and patterns...and I finally got to use my favorite strip! It's the one that helped inspire this layout with the circles and alphabet letters on it. Once the washi strips were down, I applied a light layer of gesso so I could add some shimmer mists for splashes of color.
Once those layers were all dry, I added in the chip board phrases, enamel hearts and some puffy stickers and faces from past Freckled Fawn kits. I also finished my title by using last months awesome yellow alpha's and added "Last day of school." Finally, I adhered my photo on foam adhesive for dimension and added in that really cute square clip. Here are some more close ups of the finished project:
Thanks so much for joining me today!
