Paper Smooches Picture Perfect Challenge July 22-28

Hello everyone!  This week over on the Paper Smooches Sparks Blog is a really fun challenge!  You are to use this following photo as your inspiration for your project:

Keeping is amazing photo in mind, I created this card:

I used Tim Holtz inks in Black Soot, Barn Door and Wild Honey to create the color gradation then used Paper Smooches "thanks" die, which can be found HERE.  I wanted to focus on the negative that the "thanks" created so i popped the entire card up on pop dots do give it depth, then pieced the inner parts of the "thanks" back together all on a black card base. Finally, I added some white dashed lines to give it a frame and added a cpl little butterflies in the same gradation and added glossy accents on them.

I have to say I absolutely LOVE how easy this was to put together and it came together so quickly!  What a fabulous way to create a handmade thank you note to send to someone special!

If you'd like to play along with this weeks challenge, head on over to the Paper Smooches Sparks blog HERE and join in on all the fun!

  1. That's a bunch of work. Not so CAS was it? Well it payed off! Love the ombré and the black sentiment. I think people think CAS is easy and takes less time, but those who do it well make you think that, it's actually a lot of work. Great job! Thanks for playing PSS!

  2. WOOOOOOW! I wish I could get inky like this-- that ombre design is AMAZING! LOVE x10000000:)
