Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I started my day with this project for the Paper Smooches Cool Shades Challenge. The challenge was to use the following color scheme (grey, blue, red and white/ivory):
For this project, I decided to pull out some winter stamps and go with a "country" feel!
I started with a craft card base and took 2 snowflake stamps and stamped them with versamark. Then i decided to take the small round circle stamp and add in some white flakes. After that, I added a hill from MME Sweater Weather Paper pack. I chose this snowman because of his simplicity feel with the hat and scarf...there was already a lot going on with the hills :). I paper pieced his hat and scarf with more of a red paper from the same paper pad. Then decided to cut the "thanks", which is Paper Smooches "Thanks Word" die, out of the same color so it all tied together. Finally, using the stamp "My coolest friend", I chose to just ink up the "coolest friend" and curve it to fit the shape of the hills! Finally, I added a few touches by using liquid pearls to the tip of his hat and a stardust glitter pen to some of the snowflakes and to the top of the hill.
All of the stamps used in today's card came from Paper Smooches "Swanky Snowdudes" which can be purchased HERE. The "Thanks Word" die can be found HERE. You have all week to play along on the Paper Smooches Sparks blog HERE. Come along and join in on the fun!
Love how the "thanks" die cut is a little curved and gorgeous shading! Thanks for joining us at Paper Smooches Sparks!
