Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge: Designer Drafts Nov. 11th-16th

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I'm continuing to make some Christmas cards so I don't fee swamped in a couple weeks!  The card I made today is for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge which is the Designer Drafts Challenge this week.  We were to follow the following sketch:
I created the following card following this sketch:

I used the 2 Paper Smooches stamp sets for the project this week.  The first is Swanky Snowdudes which I used for the snowman on the front and snowflakes on the front and inside.  The sentiment on the inside comes from the All yule need stamp set.  Both of these sets can be found HERE.  Lastly, I used my stardust glitter pen to add some shimmer to the banner and snowman and the wink of stella clear glitter pen over all the larger snowflakes.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Nov.4th-10th

Hello everyone!  Today is the last day to participate in the challenge over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog before a new one is posted tomorrow!  If you'd like to participate, please click HERE.  This week focuses on "Trend Watch" and here is the inspirational photo to follow:

For this weeks project, I created the following card:

I used Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes stamp set along with My Style Stamps Snowflake sequins, amazing snowflake rhinestones I found at Joann's and my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.  I created a snow bank using 2 layers of velum and fussy cut & copic colored the snowman, bird and candy cane pole :).  When I adhered the snowman down, I glued the bottom of him and used a foam adhesive behind his head. I love the dimension it added while still making him appear behind the snow.  Finally I embossed the Seasons Greetings sentiment that comes in the same stamp set with black embossing powder and tada!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a fab evening!

Paper Smooches Designer Drafts Series Sept 9-15

Happy hump day everyone!  Today I had three new items from Paper Smooches that I have been "die-ing" to use!!!  I just got these last week and they are a part of their newest release for September 2013!  This weeks challenge over on the PS Sparks Blog is the "Designer Draft" series where they give you a sketch to follow as your inspiration!  Here is this weeks sketch:

...and here is the card that I created....

These are the 3 new releases that I used on this card. They are Trees 1, Leaves 1 and Gently Seasoned.

I used one of the tree dies and I ran the set of 4 leaves thru my die cutter 5 times to get all the leaves on this card.  The sentiment came from the Gently Seasoned stamp set.  You can still create the same concept of this card with stamping using just the stamp set!   I love dimension and texture, so I had to use the dies! lol  :)  All of the papers used came from the Studio Calico Snippets 6x6 paper pad.

If you'd like to play along with this challenge this week or get loads of inspiration and ideas, please visit the Paper Smooches Sparks blog HERE.

Happy Scrapping!

Paper Smooches Trend Watch Challenge Sept 2-8

Hello everyone!  Today I have a very fun project to share with you!  Paper Smooches is having a challenge on their blog this week and it's their Trend Watch Challenge!

This weeks inspiration comes from this photo:

Our challenge was to create anything with flowers.  So with that being said, here is the card I created:

I didn't have any Paper Smooches flower stamps so I dug deep in my mind and came up with this!  For this card, I actually used 3 different Paper Smooches stamps sets.  They are: Bee Mine, Giddy Bugs and Perpetual Bliss. I used 1 heart stamp from the Perpetual Bliss for one of the flowers, Bee Mine I used one heart for the second flower, the squiggly line for the flower stems & the lady bug. And for Giddy Bugs, I used the butter fly, motion stamp and the sentiment.  Wheeeeww!!!  That was a lot of description for this quick and easy card!  I used Studio Calico Snippets 6x6 paper pad for the grass, diamond stickles for the butterfly wings, recollections bling for the flower centers and glossy accents for the two hearts.  Did a quick wash of copic colors on the butterfly and used a lot of my blender!

I think it turned out soooo cute!  I love the squiggly lines for the flower stems!  It makes them look so whimsical!  I will definately use that combination again!  This just goes to show that you can create a lot more with stamps you have on hand already!  I could have went and bought a new set with flower images, but instead I used my creativity and came up with this super cute layout!

Make sure you hop on over to the Paper Smooches Sparks blog HERE to participate in this challenge or any others AND for tons of inspiration!!!!
