Paper Smooches Be Our Guest Challenge

Hello everyone!  I've created a card for the Paper Smooches Be Our Guest Challenge to be the August Guest Designer!  Yay!  This is the first month that I've uploaded projects for this challenge, so here it goes!  I used the "Giddy Bugs" stamp set from Paper Smooches that can be found on their online store here. The paper I used came from the Bo Bunny 6x6 paper pad "Hello Sunshine Collection."  For this project, I used the bumble bee and the "buzzworthy" sentiment along with die cutting and adding clear transparency.

Paper Smooches Designer Drafts Challenge July 8-14 ~ Second Project

I've decided to do another card for the Paper Smooches Designer Drafts Challenge this week.  The sketch given is so fun and can me used MANY different ways! I have a feeling there will be yet another one coming at some point! lol 

  The second card I made was using the Bee Mine stamp set and the papers came from October Afternoon's Modern Homemaker 8x8 pad.

Paper Smooches Designer Drafts Challenge July 8-14

 I decided to do a few cards this week.  The first card was with the Perpetual Bliss stamp set and the EP Happy Days 6x6 paper pad.

Paper Smooches Trend Watch Challenge July 1st-7th

Hello everyone!  If you are a follower of the Paper Smooches blog, then you know that this week's Trend Watch Challenge theme is "Ocean."  You are to create a project that has the ocean as the focus or a part of your project.  If you're not a follower of Paper Smooches, check their sparks challenge blog out here.  There are so many cute projects with fish, dolphins and other aquatic theme cards that I felt the need to challenge myself and step outside of the box.  So...with that being said, here is what I created:

 

I wanted to simulate the idea of the owl being stranded on the ocean, stuck on a bed of leaves.  I used the FREE owl and leaf images on the Paper Smooches blog and created the water with blue paper from the MME 6x6 Happier paper pad and 2 layers of vellum.  After popping up the leaves and owl's on foam adhesive, I used firefly stickles on the leaves and glossy accents on the owl's eyes for dimension.  The sentiment came from the "Slang Gang" sentiment set which is AMAZING and can be purchased online here.

 

I had so much fun challenging myself within this challenge that I can't wait to see what next weeks new challenge is!  lol  :)

 

 

New Prototypes!

I wanted to share with everyone my new prototypes that arrived!  This set's name is "Sock Hop."  Should be available the week of July 14th, fingers crossed! lol

"Wish I Was..." Project Share

So I finally had some time to play with a prototype of my new release "Wish I Was..." and here's a card that I did yesterday!  I love the paper piecing and how easy the dryer was to color even though it is larger!  Ship date of this set is June 21st and will be released shortly there after in my new Zibbet store here.

Exciting News! Launch of "My Style Stamps"!

So who is ready for the most exciting news that I have ever been able to share?!  Today, I'm here to proudly announce the start of my own stamp line: "My Style Stamps."   With much inspiration and support from family and friends, I took a leap of faith and created this line composing it of images and sentiments of my own art work and design.  I want to specifically thank Renee, TheGreenFlamingo717 on YouTube, for helping me both mentally and physically to get the first batch launched!  This is the first release of many more to come!  I would like to introduce you to "Wish I Was...," my first release due to ship on June 21, 2013.  I have created a new blog just for My Style Stamps here, where I will show sneak peaks, ideas and new sets as they become available.  I will also be showcasing projects not only that I have done, but from my DT as well.  Keep your eyes and ears peeled as I will be adding a new DT member soon as more sets are released! I will continue to keep this blog post going with my own projects as well.  I hope you all are ready for an amazing ride and stick with me on this journey!  Thanks for all your support!!  If you have a project that you have created using any of my images, please fill free to let me know so I can showcase your work on the blog! :)
