Farm Fresh Friday Challenge!

Hello all!

First off, Happy Mother's Day to all of our Mom's, Grandmothers and Mother's of our fury friends!!

Today I have a project for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm Blog!
The challenge theme this time is "Flowers!"
I used a recent SSSC image for this project and honestly, I don't use a whole lot of flowers on my projects, just because they add bulk to the card and I mail a lot of cards in the mail...so sometimes I'm just too afraid that its gonna get smushed or ruined...this one will definately be hand-delivered!

In the end, I definately LOVE how she turned out!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a beautiful day!

Lawnscaping Challenge Time!!

Hi crafty friends!!

Today's project is a really fun, yet simple one!
The background was a little time consuming, but otherwise really fun and one layer....
a challenge for me in itself! lol
This one was inspired thanks to the ladies over at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog!

This weeks new challenge is this.......

Watercolors!!!!   Yay!!!  One of my most favorite mediums to work with!   So, of course I will definately play along!!  This project hit me as soon as i saw the theme...I knew exactly what background I was going to create and exactly what stamp I was going to use!  That hardly ever happens that easily for me!  In the process, I took two different approaches...one just water coloring with a brush using distress inks and the other was smushing color onto my craft sheet, spritzing it with water, and then making direct contact to my paper.   Here are the results!!!!!.....

I honestly have to say at first, the one on the left was my favorite once it was dry....however, once I actually started stamping the sentiment and stars, the one on the right became my most favorite! I love them both really!

Here are a few close ups of each of the cards so you can see closer detail of the water coloring....

Well, that's all for me today!

If you wana play along with this challenge, you still have lots of time!
Be sure to visit them HERE for all the details!

See you all on the next project!

"Hello Chickie"

Good Morning all my crafty friends!

Today I have another "Little Darlings" stamping project to share!
If you following me over on Instagram, you're probably sick of seeing these from me by now! lol  No worries though, because the next project is going to be different!  I really love these stamps, but honestly, her hair gives me a lot of anxiety!  I love coloring hair, but for some reason, I have a hard time with hers!

For this card, the two stamp sets I used were "Lisbeth & Chicks" and "Eggstra Special Sentiments." All other products are listed below, along with a photo of the copic colors I used to color her up!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
See you all again soon!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challeng #226

Hello all!

Today I'm inspired by the sketch challenge that's going on over at the MFT Challenge blog...boy do they have a good sketch this week!  When I saw the sketch, I was like, "yep! blueprints!" lol!!  I wonder if I'm the only crazy person out there that thinks of this stuff!

Here's the sketch.....

I took some elements from the sketch this week and built upon it to make something slightly different, with a little touch of spring! The weather has still been hit or miss lately here, but I'm well over due for bright flowers and an airy feel! I also wanted to use vellum...in some way, but I wasn't sure just how I was going to do that when I started.  I also had just white cardstock on my desk and decided that I was only using that and the vellum as my paper products.....I wasn't going to use patterned paper or any other solid papers.  All the colors that you see in my project today are MFT ink colors put on the white cardstock.

There was one really big difference I noticed for the first time using die inks on the Recollections 120lb white card stock...which is what I use for my card bases....the cardstock has some kind of a slick, slippy surface.  Almost like its waxy.  When you put die ink on top of that, it doesn't want to absorb that great into the cardstock...which is reason why the bold stripes look streaky.  The solid colored circle, flowers and leaves look fine because I used regular lighter weight white cardstock for those!  I'll have to keep that in mind the next time I try this! It made a big difference and I almost wanted to start over, but kept plugging along! lol

Here are the supplies I used for this project....

That's all for today! I have you've enjoyed my project and I appreciate you stopping by!

Have a beautiful weekend!
